when the abs sensor isnt working proper does it cause a grab, pull, and slide effect?

I would like to have an idea of what is wrong before i take it to be repaired. I had it fixed in the summer and its still under warrenty so i have to take it back to the mechanic who fixed it. Only he tried to sell me two door hinges for my truck at 600 each and I only needed a bushing that cost me 20 installed. It was a sensor before but the abs light didnt come on. It does know though. Still a sensor,right? The more info i have the better prepared i'll be. Oh its on the same side as it was also. Thanks

The A.B.S. system does not cause the car to pull or brake unevenly. when any part of the A.B.S. system fails the A.B.S. system simply shuts itself off and the breaking system simply reverts to normal breaking just like a car without A..B.S. you have another brakeing problem becides the A.B.S.

Abs is a tricky subject; the only senor that I know of is on the rotor that senses motion though a gear like system. This only tells the abs when the wheel has stoped turning and to let off the brake or to pump it. There is a man computer box somewhere under the hood which all this relays too.

It shoulds like maybe a caliper sticking or not working. If a caliper sticks the car will pull to one side "the side sticking" usally this would indicate a front brake too.

Your abs system would not be causing the problems you noted as when the abs system is not functional the brakes merely act as a non-abs system/regular brake system.
