When you meet a person for the first time, do you give them one shot for them to make a good first impression and if they don't, you write them off?

I believe that first impressions should never be lasting ones. When I first meet people, I get a little nervous and am not my normal self because I don't know what the other person is like. I don't know many people who can be completely at ease when meeting folks. Like the old adage states, "Never judge a book by it's cover," the same should apply to people. We can miss out on knowing and appreciating some wonderful folks if we limit ourselves to one encounter. After all, haven't most of us picked up a book that started out a little slow and ended up becoming a favorite? Have a fantastic day! Annie
