I think all family members feel they have the right to give your advice. They care for you and hope you make the right decisions. I don't think they do it to harm you but some people do get out of line. If you didn't mean much to them, they wouldn't even talk to you.
There are alot of things out there that are worse than pushy family members - like not having anyone important in your life at all. Having a lonely existance is terrible. We all need someone to check up on us, talk to us, comfort us, or just give us some sort of companionship. That is human nature.
Talk to these pushy people and tell them you respect them and love them for all that they try to do but you are an adult and you need time and space to grown ON YOUR OWN. Don't shut them out, they are your family and you mean they world to them.

That has to be the most annoying thing. I happen to have a very large family. My mother has 7 siblings. One of them is more annoying than the next one. As good and nice as they can be is just as annoying and bad they can be. Sometimes I feel like telling them where to go but I dont and I swallow it until next time. I HATE WHEN THEY GIVE ME "SUGGESTIONS" ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH MY 5 MONTH OLD SON! (2 of them aren't even parents) WOW! See how they drive me crazy? Im glad Im not the only one.

Have aids.
be in jail.
have no limbs.
have an accident.
die.
And I could go on and on...so, if you look at it again, it doesn't seem so bad, does it?
