Try oven cleaner it works great.

Take a paper bag and sprinkle table salt on it, then set it on the highest temperature and push down on iron, at the same time move the iron back and forth and in circular motion!!!> It's quick and easy and it works!!!

The only way i have ever found to get this off is using steel wool and scrubbing like crazy. It usually works great!
