I quit a job and the boss did not give me my final pay on the same day as I would have recieved my pay if I still worked there. Everyone who still works there got paid except me. Can he legally hold my pay from me?

NO! they cannot do that to you. Demand that it is given to you now, or get a lawyer to do it for you. That is not their right!

No. Most states are "at will" states which means that they can fire you whenever, and you can quit whenever.

If you are fired they have to pay you within 24 hours. If you quit then I think it's like 48 hours.

If you are on commission or owe advance funds, they deduct it, but they still have to give you a stub.

Tell him you are getting a lawyer, I bet he ponies up.

I wouldn't think so unless you owed him money. If you worked those hours, you are entitled to pay even if you quit afterwards.
