I can get a v8 any size from a auto store warranted for around 1,000 depending if you want a short- NO HEADS or about 100 bucks more including heads.
I own a shop and this is the best deal around as I just figured the labor for one of my guys to do a v6 and with parts in my shop you are looking at 1,500 bucks for just the rebuild not the removal or installation which is about another 800 bucks depending on just how easy it is.

or purchase a new 350 from chevrolet for 1500, with a warranty
