The cold grease leaves a nasty film in your mouth and it causes your taste buds to go ewww! I don't mind a reheated hamburger but I can't handle them cold.

Perhaps the cold fats arent absorbed as well, and the cold fats tend to coat the mouth block receptors and leave a yucky feeling too

its not about taste receptors.
its about the wai it looks.
with its grey congealed fat coaugulating in the corner. or the slimy shine of the burger patty...ugh
