yes the sensor is part of the ABS system. if the abs lite comes on its usually a bad sensor...buy them from dealer..IV had bad ones right out of the box with aftermarket ones... if you mean the sensor that screaches while you drive, its a worn out brake pad.sensor

maybe... there are two sensor in that area of new cars, a brake wear sensor and the ABS sensor. The sensor youre probably looking at is the brake wear sensor, but not all cars have these...

it depends on which sensors,there are wheel speed sensors that are part of the abs system and on some cars there are small brass sensors mounted in the brake pad itself that are wear indicators and turn on a light in the dash or over head consol

yes the sensor tells how fast that tire is turning
if it turns slower it will release
if it turn faster than the others it will tighten the brakes
that is why it is very important to have the same size tire
on all of the tires
if you dont the brakes will not work properly
