Actually never. The president does not control any part of government and has to answer and get permission from Congress. It is called checks and balances and keeps the power from shifting to one person in our government.

What? for the last 6 years the democrats have had apsolute power. Maybe you havent realized that the republicans havent done a single thing they wanted to.
Also, The war in iraq was dreamt up by the democrats in the late 90's. Al gore was one of the most vocal supporters of it, and the fbi director that clinton appointed was the one that came up with the false intelligence.
