Edit:
You need a client to open the torrent file .. this client will download the files you want.
I use Azureus, its a pretty good client.

yes you do and torrents are just a little peace of a file that you are trying to download and when it goes to download it just looks for the rest of the file and downloads it. and yes you do need software to do this with.

yes go to cnet.com and download Bitcomet them go to a torrent site like isohunt.com or torrentz.com and search for what you want then download, play with bitcomet options so that you can tell it where to put downloaded stuff...may need winrar and winzip to open files after downloads, good luck have fun! enjoy ya free stuff

yea you do a torrent is like a download link to wherever your file is and you can use a p2p program to run it but if you dont have then get it from shareaza.com
