No tanning dosen't get rid of acne. That's one of the things people may think. But it's far from true. Tanning actually causes acne. It causes acne because any exposer to UV ray lights from the actuall sun or the tanning bed causes ur PH balance to be thrown off. When your PH balace is thrown off like that, it causes acne. The reason people thinks it helps get rid of it, is because it drys out ur skin. people think that it's drying out the acne and it's helping to get rid of it, but ur really causing ur self more acne problems either now or in the future and over drying ur skin from the tanning bed will cause alot of wrinkles. so if u go tanning in a tanning bed you may want to consider using a toner which will help keep ur PH balance where it's supposed to be at. Or you could try and use The Almay 1.2.3 step cleanse tone and moisturize and that'll prevent u from breaking out while tanning. Hope this helped.

I've heard that it helps hide it because your skin gets more red due to the tanning, and it also dries out your skin causing the acne to dry out faster. You should also wash the tanning bed well before using it because bacteria and sweat from other people can make acne worse.

It should in that it will decrease the moisture in your face. I wouldn't suggest tanning as a remedy to rid yourself of acne though. Instead, find a soap that is suitable to your skin type and wash your face twice a day. Acne is inevitable in the teen years. Use Clearasil to treat it. It worked for me as a teen.

I think the cons of tanning far outweigh having an acne problem. On top of the acne, you now are exposing yourself to skin cancer. Tanning is not safe, no matter what they say.
