I rented the movie BARNYARD over the weekend. It was a good movie, BUT it bothered me all through the movie that all the male cows had UDDERS!!! Why?!? The horses were drawn with nothing down there. Why couldn't the male cows be drawn without anything down there? I think the movie may give kids the idea that male cows have udders.

The creators (i.e. Steve Oedekerk) are either insanely stupid, or they wanted it to be a kid friendly show and have the cattle looking as a children's depiction of a cow. Kids general think of cows as black & white with udders, so maybe the creators wanted it to be easy for them to understand & relate to... Besides that, I love Otis! <3 I'm a Back at the Barnyard fan.

Actually I found it offensive because they were just there, flopping about and always poking out when they sat down. Quite possibly they chose to use the udders because kids would more easily recognize them as cows as if there were not enough clues. Udder than that was a good movie.

because the morons who animated the film have never set foot on a farm! cows=female, bulls=males, steers= nuetered , bulls do NOT have udders, but i guess huge balls were out of the question too, although it was a great bit for jackass 2! lololol

i dont know my sister asked me the same question. my kids didnt even notice. so i dont think its a big deal. movies like that are mostly for kids and most kids dont sit around and pick out whats wrong with a movie. they just no that its funny to them. and thats all that matters
