First crossdressing outfit?

Help me out. I'm 6'1" 173 pounds, nice legs, OK rear. What should be my first "outfit" ? Age, I'm not telling. Young

This is what I would normally wear when I go out. It is simple, yet very stylish:

I wear a long (ankle length) Levi's denim skirt. It has slits up both side. I have pretty legs, so I like showing them off, and yes, they are shaved.
I wear a nice pink or white tailored long sleeved blouse
A pair of 4" high heeled peep toed pumps (with my nails polished RED of course)
NO stockings or pantyhose.

Depending on how far you want to go, I also wear a pair of thong panties, and a nice lacy bra.

Watch how much jewelry you wear. I wear a small signet ring on my left pinkie, a couple of bangle bracelets, and a nice necklace.

If you want to paint your fingernails, be conservative. You can't go wrong with a french manicure, or a light pink polish.

From what you told me in your message and what you said in your previous post you are looking for a way to give expression to suppressed feelings that you have had for a long time.
Quite honestly I think that the person who can help you most is your wife. You need to talk seriously with her about your feelings and also you need to reassure her that you understand her fears.
You might feel fine about this new discovery, but your wife is worried that she is going to lose her husband and the father of her children. She is worried that the neighbours are going to be scandalized, that people will start talking, and that she will be ostracized.
You have to talk to her about these issues. Our society is not very accepting of T people, apart from their entertainment value, while the other widespread image of the T that people have is the transexual whore.
I suggest you don't take this outside just yet. Get yourself a pretty nighty and a matching wrapper. Make up your face and put on a wig. Buy a couple of pairs of slip-ons for round the house. If you must buy a bra, you will probably need a large size with a small cup. Many crossdressers like to wear panties too.
Stay in with your wife and do things together.
In this way she will be more accustomed to you in your feminine persona and you will build up more confidence and understanding of what it is to be a woman.
Find a support group and if you feel the need a counsellor who can help you come to terms with your feelings.

Study women of your age, Do you want to dress as a business woman? Where would you like to go dressed?, and dress like the women there if you don't want to stand out. Glamour shots can be fun and give you some Ideas. If you do want to stand out dress like a drag queen. It is all up to you. I dress to fit in and go just about anywhere. Have even been throught airport security dressed female and using my Male legal ID. Have fun and be confident. Those are the main things, Jayma.

try not to be flashy. look as if you were just a woman out there shopping and not a flashy one at that. you don't require heels since you are so tall. get help with your hair and makeup to look as close to average as is possible to create the real look too. good luck to you. it must be a difficult decision to live with and do too.

It depends on how much you are trying to do . .If you want to keep it simple, just put on some tight jeans and a cute shirt. .of course gurly. . lol. . but if you want to be out there. bust out the cute skirt, and a cute shirt . . . just try not to look sloppy or like a hoe!
