use the following conversion factors:
1in = 2.54 cm
1 feet = 12 in
159.5 cm X 1 in/2.54cm X 1feet/12in = the units cm and in cancel out so you last with feet and when you do the math 159.5 divided by 2.54 and then divided by 12 you get to the answer 5.23293963.... just roud it off and you get 5.23 feet
