I think a lot of people are fearing the end of the world. With all the talk of global warning, war, disease, and future supply shortage has made some people just give up.

Yeah, it seems that way to me too......
My 65 year old neighboor yesterday walked up to me and said the world is going crazy and that if it keeps going this way it'll all end.....

Yes, and they get a healthy dose of fear everytime they turn on the news or read current events.
