No dont sermerge it in achohol!! Any liquid is not to me made in a cell phone. Okay, this is a true story. I have lost 7cellular phones[yes 7] due to water. Mostly becuase ive swam with them in my pocket, once droped it in a mud puddle, so on and so forth. Anyway, none of them survived but one and the buttons wouldnt work and the screen had water in it. But what you do is first take the battery off it if you can, and anyother peice you can take off. Then lay it all out somwere dry. If your inside use a hair dryer - waring the cell will get hot! I was outside one day with no heating source around to i layed it out in the sun, witch didnt really help that much, but the hair dryer dried it up pretty good.

There isn't a way. Using a phone that had been submerged in water sometimes makes it smoke or overheat and the phone may explode. Nothing can be done but throw it out and buy a new one or call your insurance carrier if you have one.

If your battery was in it when it went in the water it is fried. I dropped mine in a cup of ice tea and tried everything I could think of to get it working and to no avail it was fried. If you have insurance you can tell the company that you lost it at the bottom of a pond, creek, stream or what ever when you were fishing, this is what one of the employees at a Nextel shop told me to say that is the only way that they will replace the phone instead of trying to refurbish it

the best way to dry a cell phone iz to put it in a drt towle and rubb all the water off the cellphone when you do that you all good and all you have to do when your done iz to try to turn it on and if it do come on u followed what i had told you and if you did not follow because you thought i was wrong well that's your luck so follow what im tellin you talk to you later good advice i just gave to you
