I'm kinda low on funds right now, but I was looking to do a bunch of small, possibly homemade, cheap things for my boy for valentines day. So far I am filling a jar with "I love you"'s that I wrote and putting a little poem with it.. Any other ideas?

How about making each one a giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookie. Put some red frosting on top and perhaps each of their names in sprinkles.

Get a crappy old picture frame from a dollar store or walmart, then jazz it up with some stuff you get from a crafts store. Take a really nice picture of you and him together and slip it in there. Also, if you take the picture with a digital cam, you can alter it online and put stuff in the background behind you two, like floating hearts or something. Sure, guys dont like to admit it and they dont pick out things like that for themselves, but they can be very sentimental and romantic. I know a lot of guys that are packrats and keep EVERYTHING special that people have given them over the years, even stuff girls in hs gave them. It's always nice when someone takes time like that to do something, so i'm sure he will realize the amount of effort you put into it and love it. Good luck.

Draw pr paint a picture.

Give him a photo of the 2 of you together,

make him dinner,

get movies and cuddle at home,

make him a coupon book... good for one romantic kiss, forplay for 1 hour, ect

make a top 10 list of why you love him, or what he means to you

so many more things you can do to show love. Im not big on this holiday, I think you should show love daily not once a year.

Blimey, you girls really don't understand men do you? Baskets of nuts and soft music CD's? To impress a guy, you don't need to spend money on us. Use you're imagination and perhaps stretch the boundaries in the bedroom department for one night and then offer him a cold beer. If you really want to show how much you love him, invite your best looking female friend to join you both for the evening.

Make dinner with a nice dessert, cake or cookie. Make a coupon book with things for him; hugs, kisses, chores you will do for him (cut the grass, wash the car, take out the garbage), homemade dinner for another day, night out with the guys, the options are endless.

I think the best response I ever got frrom a boyfriend was one Valentines day when I was SUPER broke and came up with this....
One night I sat down and wrote on individually cut paper hearts everything I loved about him... the I punched holes in them and tied a piece of string to them. Then when he wasnt home, I went and hung them all from the ceiling right above his bed. He called me the instant he got them, he said it was the best gift he had ever gotten. He still has all those hearts bundled up in his closet. :-)

Nice thought, but he really, really doesn't want a jar full of I love you's or poems or anything else (okay, maybe cookies). All we want on Valentines Day is for our women to look extra sexy and have an appreciative, extra-effort, sexy attitude. No need to buy us gifts; its not Christmas or our birthday.

I like Crystal's answer for the glow in the dark writing along with some other things. Her answer is creative and doesn't deserve a thumbs down.

Take a big bag of hersheys kisses or hugs and write "I love you" or something on slips of tissue paper. Replace all of the factory slips with the ones you wrote on and wrap up the kisses like they came.
