Heck yeah and the longer you live the more often it will happen. Sometimes we get mesmerized by people, for some reason, maybe we like the way they talk or what they say or the have some image we like and we overlook the warning signs of shallowness. One day, that person is finished with you or has only so much room for friends and you are squeezed out and you get the cold shoulder. And thats is that. Nothing much you can do about it, but sometime in the future it will happen to you again.

Yes, and it sure hurts. I've learned to recognize when someone is beginning to use me, and I back off from that person.

yes, i think most people have been used a time or two. you just need to figure out who is your friend and who is worth trusting.
