and it simply wouldn't fit through the door opening? If so, how did you get it up there? We did that this weekend and my husband ended up breaking off part of the doorway and replacing it. Or did you just simply give up?

Its not a easy job huh.I got so pissed,I smashed my toes,fingers,and all my husband could do is laugh.Now I can but at the time you know. lol

King sized box springs should come in two pieces so that you can get them up the stairs.!!!

I have had to take down railings to get furniture upstairs. Wasn't pretty.

I gave up boxsprings and bought a fouton frame to put the mattress on. It splits in two, easy to carry. The hardest thing to carry is the mattress.

You may have to give up...But...Do they MAKE king-sized box springs? Usually it's 2 twins, I thought.

We went through our sliding glass door, but if you don't have a bigger door I guess you are SOL. At least you got it in!
