I'll be arriving in Gorey, Wexford Co, Ireland on Sunday Feb 4th, and would like to watch the Super Bowl. Any suggestions on where to find the game on TV? Will all TVs carry the game, or just satellite? It won't start until after midnight, local time. I'll be coming in from Chicago.

The Ashdown Park Hotel in Gorey should be showing the game. Its the biggest hotel in Gorey and a lot of American tourists stay there. I've been in the Hotel on numerous occasions and it has multiple big screen and covers all the major sporting events. They have Cable on all channels, so you'll have no problem getting the game. The Atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly. Give them a ring and check it out using the link

To be perfectly honest, I don't think anywhere will be showing it. If you manage to get to a pub in the city (i.e. not a small village local) they MIGHT be showing it on Sky Sports. There's about 3-4 different Sky Sports channels, so I'm not sure which one it will be on. Setanta might be showing it, but I doubt it. Even so, although the pubs stay open fairly late in Ireland, unless you're a local, they'll kick you out by 12.30-1.00 at the latest.

Regarding terrestial TV, you might have a slim chance with RTE1 or 2, but they naturally show hurling, gaelic football, Scottish football etc, not American sports really. I'm not sure if the reception would reach Ireland from England, but if you can get hold of a TV that has an NTL cable/set top box connection (the supplier is called something else outside of Dublin, sorry I can't remember) and you can get access to Channel 5, they will DEFINITELY be showing it, as they show all the American sports live all throughout the week.
