Who Knows?

I'm starting to wonder about Celtics' coach real habilities to coach.

If I were them, when Pierce is back, my starting 5 would be:
G-Delonte West
G-Paul Pierce
F-Wally Szczerbiak
F-Ryan Gomes
C-Kendrick Perkins

But I doubt they'll put Szczerbiak on the starting lineup...

The Celtics are a team in transition. Pierce and Wally have been hurt, and it might help them if they both sat the rest of the season. If they could get either Durrant or Oden in the middle next year with a lottery pick, it would make sense to keep the veterans out of the lineup and lose games to assure that the C's get a great pick. Wally came back last night and didn't start, but if he stays healthy he would probably start at the 3. With Pierce back the lineup would look as follows:

1. West
2. Pierce
3. Wally
4. Big Al
5. Perkins

if i had to set the line up,
id put telfair at point, with rondo backing him up,
then green at sg, with delonte off the bench,
then pierce at small forward, obviously, with wally backing him,
jefferson at pf, with gomes backing him,
then perkins at center... i dont know who'd back him, maybe let him rest early, switch al jefferson to center while gomes is him, then come up with some triangle rotation like that.

sigh... i miss tony allen
