I have a beautiful amethyst cross that my mom gave me that I wear because it is beautiful.
Sometimes nice jewelry comes in the shape of a cross.

I don't know any non religious people that wear crucifixes. However the people who do fit that description could have received it as a gift or it's a family heirloom, just to throw out two possibilities. I have some rosaries even though I'm agnostic. They belonged to my grandmother and I value them for that reason. I value a pocket watch left to me by my grandfather for the same reason.

Because logically they think there can't be a God, if all these bad things are happening to good people. And then they've been tough all the things about God/Jesus all of their lives. Down deep inside they hope there is a God/Jesus. But after growing up they now scientifically and logically there is no man in the sky. But they wear the Crucifix because they try to believe. Then I've seen killers wear them too. Maybe it's just a fashion statement to them.

I personally don't, but perhaps they think it's an attractive piece of jewelry.
I have taken old rosaries and made them into necklaces though. Naturally I removed the cross, and Jesus is resting comfortably elsewhere.
I even once bought a very cool cross to hang on the wall. Granted I was drunk or I might not have, but I have it hanging up now because it matches the decor.

Why do Christians? A cross is a idol. I don't care if you DON't worship it or PRAY to it, it is still a idol that is associated with Jesus, therefore it is a idol. One of the ten commandments is no idols. Why would anyone want to wear something and be pround to wear it, when that certain something took the life of Jesus. That must be like a slap in God's face. God tells us that we should worship him with Spirit and with truth.

It can be that they do that to show their disrespect to God. They believe that there is no God so they're not afraid of the consequences. Actually, they treat the crucifix like some sort of jewelry, not a significant reminder about God's existrence. Not my best answer but i hope it makes a lot of sense for you.

Because a cross doesn't always mean the crusification of Jesus. It can have different reasons. I am at work and don't have time to look it up for you, but if you google history of crosses I am sure you will come up with many many different meanings for the cross.

Some people think it will bring them favor with God. Others are superstitious and hope it will bring them good luck. To others, it is merely a cool looking piece of jewelry.

Some believe it protects them from evil spirits. Others are quite stupid and don't know what the symbol of the cross means.
