hi, i hv got a call from a top B school for group discussion and personal interview..and dress code is formal..since i m short i m not comfortable either in a sari or a3 piece suit..so if anyone can tell me if churidar[traditional indian ladies suit] comes under formal attire or not..i will be obliged..

A churidar kurta or a salwar kameez falls under indian formal wear but try to stick to basic cuts and a no nonsense looking one rather than something fancy you would wear for special occasions.( avoid embellishments, deep cut neck lines etc) and most importantly carry it off confidently, body language is important....you should come across as a professional.

Most certainly! Provided you do not let 'chunri' flow free! Don't wear too loose a churidar! Select a churidar of light decent colour, with a knee-length kurta, embroidered at edges(if available), made of stiff cotton and appropriately tight fitting! You can do without a chunri or best, pin it up in such a way that it doesn't flow free to attract unnecessary attention. Westside any many such, has many such designs to offer! You could select for yourself or ask any of their salesperson to search it for you! All the best!
