My husband doesn't mind an occasional rose. You could make your bedroom all romantic with hearts on the walls, candles, a bottle of wine or champagne, romantic music, either flowers or rose petals scattered about the room, maybe some chocolates or chocolate covered strawberries or other fruit, sexy nightie and silk boxers.
Have date night, candlelight dinner at home or a nice restaurant, rent or buy a favorite movie or go to the theater, go to a favorite bar for a couple casual drinks with darts and pool table, go bowling, do something you both really enjoy doing.
Give him a romantic card, or make up a coupon book good for free hugs, kisses, miscellaneous chores, dinner to a favorite restaurant, maybe a night out with the boys, pizza night, etc....

Men really don't care about roses one way or the other. All we want on Valentines Day is for our women to look extra sexy and have an appreciative, extra-effort, sexy attitude. No need to buy us gifts; its not Christmas or our birthday.

no, i dont think roses are only for girls, there are quiet a number of guys who admire rose too, but i think the best gift is to give him your all, - all your heart and all your love, assure him of your faithfulness to him and how special he is in your life, tell him how proud you are to be his wife.
You can give him all the material gifts u can think of but if you add the above ingredient it will be a plus to your marriage, if you give him all material things and then you deny him of the above then you have given him nothing, all the best!

Roses in most cases are for girls..
Hey..but I'm female..and I'm not into flowers..they die too quickly..
For the husband:
A candlelit meal..some cold beer, the kids out for the night..and the wife in something that makes her look and feel sexy..and that makes him not able to take his eyes of her..
Oh..and some Barry White music..
;)

Guys probably don't appreciate roses as much as girls, so if you were going that route, I'd just buy a single rose.
Colonge, something that smells yummy so you will want to be close to him so you can smell him.

I sent roses to my man's workplace to congratulate him on getting hired at his new job. It embarrassed the heck out of him, but he loved it, just the same! He didn't see that one coming, I can assure you!

you might try a small book of poetry if he is sentimental or Some sweets if not. Do not embarrass him.
