Yep. I once drove home right in the middle of an exhibition opening that I had co-curated, and when I got home couldn't remember why I was there and went straight back to the show.

also stared at the road for 15 minutes on the same night before I realised I was doing it.

Most artists would say that is a wonderful malaise to suffer from.....much better than not creating enough, or experiencing a block. For a wonderfully inspiring example, look at Picasso, who could not stop drawing, sketching, painting, modelling all his very long life.

I think you are a very lucky man. Just get enough sleep, but go with the flow!

Did it for three months straight, went on vacation two months in and when I got home went back to work fifteen minutes later. (Had a lot of gigs.) I drove myself nuts and took everyone around with me. When I finally finished up I slept for about two days. (I also worked a day job at the same time, I was pulling 15 to 20 hour work days seven days a week.) Not fun!

I'll never do that again!!! It's not worth it.
