It's now been almost 4 years since we overthrew Saddam Hussein, and if those morons can't figure out how to worship Mohammed without killing another Moslem on the way to the mosque, then we need to quietly select the next Saddam Hussein based upon a convincing assurance of future oil deliveries and get the 7734 out, and accept the reality that blood and butchery is a way of life for those people.

The only quick solution is turn the whole region into a glass factory and then we won't have a choice but get off foreign oil.

People and cultures there have fought for centuries and many know nothing different, its a way of life for them. What is the percentage of murderers that can truely be rehabilited to be good productive citizens? Sadly the percentage is very low, so that leads me to wonder how you can go into a region that its people have fought for so long and think you can show them a new way of life and make them instantly change.
I would like to see things change over there and the people have freedom and peace.. well and us have peace but I am sorry I just dont see it... not in my lifetime.

Given how the US has completely screwed up and ruined the country with US terrorism, destroying every vestige of civilized society (disbanding the military, disbanding the police, destroying government ministries, etc.) and leaving Iraq in total anarchy, the only solution to ending the civil war is borders and allowing self-rule in each.

Iraq has always been an European invention based on imperialism and oil, not an indigenous entity. The three groups within its border never had any liking for one another. Splitting Iraq into three ethnic nations and allowing each to govern itself would end civil strife within each segment. Sure, there would be ethnic cleansing of the "outsiders" (sunni v. shia, kurd v. sunni, etc.) but that's going to happen anyway as things stand.

Which is better: 200,000 dead in religious fighting within three countries and an end to widespread civil war, or 2,000,000 dead in religious fighting within one country? There is no third option or outcome.

Stop interfering in other country's affairs, announce a ceasefire and bring the troops back home. Sooner or later this will haveto be done but it will be basically similar action that will have to be taken no matter what rhetoric you may dish out at present.
(Cutting your losses is good policy, especially if human lives are involved).

US pull back first, everyone would then turn on the out of town terrorists, kill them all, in a Baghdad minute, then resume their own little,1000 year old differences. Our people could take a much needed vacation in Hawaii or HOME!!!
