Those who work hard, get a decent education, will do well for themselves.

Those who choose to coast on other people's money, constantly look for handouts, will never get far in life.

My family is a perfect example of this. Three of us have a college education. We all paid our own way, worked hard. The 3 of us are home owners with a family, and enjoying the fruits of our labor. The remaining family member, dropped out of college, {he had his entire education paid for, under the GI bill}, has only jobs, that pay "under the table", no house, no family, and he is so poor, at 50, he is still living with Mom.

People who are defined as poor generally don't have a college education (when they should have one). However, it's their choice to have one. Will there ever be no poor people? No, because they choose to live that way, regardless of how educators, some families, and professionals may promote a college education. There are all kinds of grants, school loans, and schlorships available so one can afford to go school. It also has alot to do with circumstance, and how people spend their money (both of which can be changed).

The rich only get richer because they want to, just as the poor get poorer because they choose to. It's their choice.

The little guy gets squeezed because they choose to be.

The problem is that the rich by having money can find more loopholes in the tax system to not pay as much by percentage in taxes, leaving the less fortunant to pay the taxes back into the system. I think that the US government should make all people, the filthy, the rich, the middle class, the lower class, and the poor pay the same percentage of taxes, no matter how much money they have. What they pay would be determined by what they make and what they have, and not have all of these loopholes to get out of paying as much into the system.

Your attitude does not handle earning potential nor performance. In international locations that are decrease than-stepped forward, maximum of a individual's time (everybody gets 24 hours, rich or undesirable) is going in the direction of subsistence. nutrition, look after, outfits, etc. In industrialized and stepped forward international locations, little or no of a individual's time is going to those initiatives. to p.c.. some numbers, evaluate the undesirable who make decrease than $15,000 according to annum and don't even pay earnings tax to the midsection classification which makes $one hundred fifty,000 according to annum. The price distinction subsequently is $a hundred thirty five,000 according to 300 and sixty 5 days for the undesirable.

WEALTH ENVY!!!!!!! Just because you haven't done well you must target the "rich" well guess what most of the "Rich" are SELFMADE! The three wealthest people in America are completely self made (Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Paul Allen) Bill Walton(of walmart) if he was still alive would be the richest man in the world again...selfmade. Get over the "they didn't work for it" BS and open your eyes. You are merely jealous that you are unable to do what these people did.

EDIT: diogenese_97 are you kidding me? the top 2% rich of this country pay for 47% of the taxes...they control 30% of the wealth. If they were paying their "fair share" they would only be paying 30% of the taxes in this country.

That's all the time, it has been explained to me that it should be based on you get a little, and I get a little and the rich gets a little more and everybody is happy, but when one segment gets greedy is when bad things happen and I think that is the case now. When a CEO gets millions for leaving a company that he has bankrupted then it is just wrong. In time the pendulum will swing back in favor of the little guy and so goes life. But right now the rich are ripping off the little guy more and more.

The tax cuts were for the top 1% income while the rest of us bear the burden. Salaries are stagnant while the cost of living continues to rise. Congress has given itself a pay raise every year but refuses to increase the minimum wage. Taxes on stock investments are only about 15% while the rest of us pay 30% or more. It is class warfare but they will not admit it.

"Driss Ben-Brahim, the hotshot head of proprietary trading at Goldman Sachs who is said to have received a £50 million bonus from his grateful employer..."

Normal...On one year's work...?

"Scuffles broke out recently when staff from a contract cleaning firm in which Goldmans has a stake stormed the foyer.

Brandishing "Goldman Sucks" placards, the cleaners are campaigning for an increase in their hourly rate of pay from £5.35, which is the national minimum wage, to £7.10, along with the right to paid sick leave."

Its not rocket science, something is not right..
To be fair I wouldn't mind a £50 mill bonus though!

Its not a fact. Success is not a zero sum game.

In this country, the rich are getting richer, but so are the poor. Its hard to argue with that.

What most people point out is that the rich are getting richer faster than the poor are getting richer.

all i have to say is look at doctors. They keep saying things are wrong with you and sending you to other doctors so that you can spend even more money. It is a conspiracy. If i get sick i climb in the bed and cover up and sweat it out. Society is all screwed up nowadays. The rich are real stingy and greedy with their money. And the average and poor will give everything they got to help out others.
