I would think that so long as you are making an effort to pay he can't really do anything--he'd look kind of stupid. Just start paying him what you can and see what happens.....maybe he will go away--I promise you that you are not the only client that owes him money so he should be grateful that you paying him anything especially since he misled you.

The only way court might help you is that you need to tell the judge that you tried to offer him this amount of money and the payment did not suit him. Make sure to bring plenty of proof that you only have this much money and all your bills show him how much money you can spare to pay him and he might come down on the total owed too. Expect around 20 per week to be owed though. You signed the paper which means it was a contract.

Isn't it sad how solicitor's (attorneys) can manipulate things!

You will either have to hire a different attorney to represent you against the first or else come to an agreement with the first to settle your debt.

I know this may sound mean, however, it's not intended to be mean! Next time, like you've heard before..."Read the fine print!"

Best wishes!

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE LAWYER KNEW FROM THE START YOUR CASE WAS BOGUS .. YOU SHOULD READ BEFORE YOU SIGN OR DISCUSS WITH SOMEONE . BEFORE GOING INTO A LEGAL CONTRACT.. GOOD LUCK .. REMEMBER THE JUDGES ARE ALSO LAWYER'S ...
