here's what u need its called Darik's Boot and Nuke 1.0.7. DBAN will automatically and completely delete the contents of any hard disk that it can detect, which makes it an appropriate utility for bulk or emergency data destruction. DBAN is a means of ensuring due diligence in computer recycling, a way of preventing identity theft if you want to sell a computer, and a good way to totally clean a Microsoft Windows installation of viruses and spyware. DBAN prevents or thoroughly hinders all known techniques of hard disk forensic analysis.
CAUTION. BE careful when u use this DBAN it wipes the whole hard of everything for good!

Data can be recovered from a drive after its been formatted using freeware you can download. You need a file shredder, this one gives you the option to completely erase the hard drive before you sell it/dispose of it;

Format the drive you want to remove
You can do this for all partitions except the boot by going to command prompt and typing
format d: (or any other drive letter)
you can use the windows XP CD or a boot floppy to format the boot partition.

Please note that it is not enough to format your drive or even to just delete the partitions. Your drive will still contain some data which some one who is determined can access. You should get a 'file shredder' to destroy your data. For added security make multi-passes.
