How long does a Processor have to serve a summons once they have been paid ?

I paid a Processor on Thurs. Jan 25 to serve a Summons. As of today Jan. 29th, they have not attempted once. Is this legal ?

Yes, it's legal. Today is only the second business day. In most states you have 120 days to get the summons served. If you need it done ASAP, then you can usually pay extra for a 'rush' job. You may want to ask them about that. Or, go pick up your stuff (and the money you paid) and take it to another Process Server. Ask the process server before you hire them how long they expect it to take.
