All of my kids were early. I give the "exact due date" no weight whatsoever. My doc told me that it was about 5% of the time.

I gave birth for my first at 36 weeks, my second at 27 weeks and my third at 31 weeks. The second two had to spend extended time at the NICU units of their respective hospitals. My first child came home the next day.

With my first one from the Dr's due date of fed 24th I was 2 weeks early. I figured it at Fed 5th. She was born on the 9th. With my son his due date was the 23rd & he was born on that date. If the Dr would have listened to me he would have gotten it right with the first one. My husband worked nights and there wasn't a hole lot of "time" so I have 2 days to choose from as to when conception. One was just way too far off and the other was perfect. You can conceive up to 5 days after sex. The Dr just wanted to go off my date of last period. Well that wont work too well if you still have a period into the 3rd month. I think it is around 5%.

Unfortunately I cannot give you the specific statistic all I can offer is my own personal experience. I was pregnant for the first time and was due to deliver on August 28th. My labor started the following morning very early and my daughter was born on August 30th at 7:30 am. Everyone's experience is different.

I think it's like 10%. My first child was born on his due date. My 2nd was the day after. Although only by 4 hours lol. My twins were 20 days early.

My daughter was due on september 13 and I got induced on the 12th and had her on the 12 (by c-section), but I was 2 weeks late when my mom was pregnant with me. I couldnt imagine going 2 weeks past my due date I was already miserable and ready to get it over with.

my wife did and the staff seemed surprised. With C-sections accounting for roughly30% of births, these days and the widespread use of inducing drugs like pitocin or oxytocin, I am sure the number of babies born on the due date is on the rise.
