media center PC or ps3?

O.K. I need help deciding, just got my income tax back....and i am trying to decide if i want to buy a PS3 (which is available at a local Wal-mart now, or do i buy a new computer because i am wanting to get a PC with media center, because i can't seem to get my x box 360 to make a connection with my Computer that i have now, its slightly older Dell Demsion 2400

If i were you...Id get the PC..i have the ps2 and just keep falling in love with a whole lot of PC technology!
