I think that Dimond or Legend would be a good middle name. Unfortunatly they would not always be the best for first name. Nicknames are just that, Nicknames...People know that they are not your real name and it's fun to call someone the nickname. There are unique names out there that are a little bit more "normal" sounding. Remember when you name the baby that in 20 years people's thoughts are going to be different about what is "cool" and it would be a gift to your child to not have them stuck with a name that could lead to teasing.
but dont' be afraid to use your nicknames as middle names. That is a great way to keep family names in the family without making it hard...
i.e. i had a friend who'se name was Candy Kane, and she disliked it. Also all my friends whose parents gave them "unique" names now go by nicknames because they are embarressed...just a thought.

Diamond Rae is an awful name for a baby. Try: Crystal Rae or Carly Rae after the gymnast.
Legend: what kind of name is that??!!!

I like Diamond Rae, it is very unique and it is a really cute name for a baby.
I don't really like the name Legend, so I would suggest to change that name but it is really up to you and your b/f.

Consider something closer to a standard name that is similar in sound or meaning to your nicknames.
Diana (Diamond) Rae or Diana Lyn
Diane (Diamond) Iris (Eyes)
Nayana (means Eye in Sanskrit-India) and sounds similar to Diamond as well.
Jewel Names:
Crystal
Gemma
Jewel
Julia
Bijou
Padmé
Names that mean Hero:
Conlan (Celtic/Gaelic)
Curran (Celtic/Gaelic)
Ives (English)
Dooley (Celtic/Gaelic)
Gareth (Welsh: The gentle knight of Arthurian Legend)
I hope this helps to give you some ideas.
Good luck!

Why don't you have Diamond and Legend as MIDDLE NAMES so that when they are older, and if they choose to, they can use those names, and if not, they can always go with their first names.

are you famous.... then you should probably stick with something that sounds like a name....
you can still be unique... but get a good baby name book and find something there...
or Check the net... there are some great sites...
