Technically, yes.

"an organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, known as the host, from the body of which it obtains nutriment. "

technically a parasite is an organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host. so if you look at it that way..yeah you could say that a fetus is a parasite of sorts.

the definition of a parasite is an organism that grows, feeds, and is sheltered on or in a different organism while contributing nothing to the survival of its host..so technically a fetus is a parasite.......now here comes my point of view......I have gone through three pregnancies and I have three beautiful children and I never once thought of any of them as parasites.....my obgyn...never once called any of them parasites......they were all three blessings and although my pregnancies were difficult they were welcomed life inside my womb...parasite to me implies unwanted and unwelcomed.....my babies were given my permission at conception to use my body to sustain their lives......just my 2 cents
