Most police departments have the equiptment to unlock the doors.......It is actually burgular equiptment. I know this how? locked grandaughter (under 1 yr old) in car.

Use coat hanger with curve or circle on the end .
slip thru top of window thru the weather seal,
you only need to catch the handle and pull it up!

Best advice ALWAYS keep spare key in wallet or magnetic key case under fender or someplace.
I keep 5 sets of keys that way I always have a spare in the purse and on my person!
Good Luck!

Best way to get it open is with a slim jim. Most automotive towing places have them and even a few auto part shops will let you use theres. When your inside the truck,do the locks slide back and forth or up and down.Well whichever way they move is the same way you'll have to try to move the lock when your using the slim jim. Here is what a slim jim may look like-- http://imagehost.epier.com/35241/slim_jim.jpg .You do know how to use one right??Well i'm sure anyone that works at the parts store can show you how to use it.If this solution it outta the question, better call a locksmith or AAA.Good luck.

if you back window was a slide open window you can pop a flat head screw driver in there to unlatched the plastic "lock" and crawl in that way. BUT if you have an ext cab it probably doesn't have the back slide open windows. good luck.

it may be best just to pay someone to do it instead of causing costly damage.

I don't know any tricks that you can safely do without messing up the door, but for future reference you might make a spare key to keep in your pocket or somewhere else that you could use. My mother in law gave me one of her keys so that if she locks her keys in her car I can come and unlock it. A whole lot cheaper than calling a locksmith. Also our police department keeps a list of people who have a special kit for opening doors. Usually these people don't charge too outrageous of amounts. Good luck.

Step One: Retrieve a wire hanger and a butter knife.
Step Two: Break out one window of the truck
Step Three: Whip yourself in the balls with the hanger to remind yourself not to lock your keys in the car again.
Step Four: You are Done! Congrats!

I know there's some gimmick you can pull with a coat hanger stuffed down along between the window and the door, but not sure offhand how to do it.
Try googling "locked out coathanger", and see if there's a good tutorial on it.
Good luck, and my deepest sympathies are with you!

Grab the title and bring ID to Chevrolet dealership and usually they can make a new key for a few bucks.
