http://youtube.com/watch?v=B9856_xv8gc check this out .. they are talking about rock and metal in the 80's and how supously that music was all about sex and drugs and the guest in that show(crossfire) is frank zappa.. frank zappa is an AMAZING composer like no other... but check out how his view in music is, "THERE ONLY WORDS" and now 20 years later take a look at the music now its worst now they actually talk literally about sex! but not all of the songs are like that .. the only rapper i ike is eminem.. but lets look at reggaeton .. i trully dont like that music cause now it really is just about sex and drugs. am not saying that it should be banded but i think there gone to far.. by the way am 15 and like rock and metal :D

I do not think it is only for stupid people, but you have a really good case. A lot of it seems to be about their Hoe (?) females, drinking Forty's, how supposedly good they are because of their male anatomy, and how good they will make a female feel if they let them, and lets not forget the ever popular, how only they racially profiled by cops.
Now there may be some good rap music, that's actually positive. But i have not heard it yet.

Just like with any genre of music, there is alot of garbage that is completely devoid of any originality or worth-while meaning but it sells. We can blame the consumer for this. There are some rap artists, however, who are intelligent and it shows in their music. Chuck D, Public Enemy, Rage Against the Machine, Outkast, RZA and Mos Def are just few that are good, both musically and lyrically.

I think the only stupid thing here is your question. What kind of question is that? What kind of people listen to Country? Jazz? Pop? Please, enlighten us.

Different music genres carry different audiences yes, but to call someone who listens to rap stupid is just absurd.

Why do we have to name a "Famous" person who likes rap? I'm sure there are plenty of intelligent people who enjoy listening to whatever music makes them happy, including rap.

Simply stated, if you don't like the music, don't listen to it and don't classify the people who do.

it would seem that a few have made rap look bad,
as a form of poetry and self expression im fairly certain that this art is not limited to those of limited intelligence.

PEACE OUT
