It seems that every european or canadian has an obsession with everything american, and usually in a negative way. On the other hand, I rarely hear of any Americans even mention anything about Canada or Europe and rarely is anything negative said. Why are these people so preoccupied with Americans and why do they not worry about their own lives more? Also, is this obsession psychologically unhealthy? To me, it is very similar to stalkers wanting their victims to notice them.

Could it be, just maybe, that Canada has to share a border with the States??? Guns and drugs are being trafficked over our borders........Good Enough?? Perhaps another is that we are fighting along side Americans in Afghanistan, because of what happened on Sept 11th....maybe we should've stayed out and minded our business there too?? Rarely do Americans mention Canadians??? How arrogant.

It is hard to ignore Americans when the US has it's hands everywhere. Look at the war. Look at all the deaths. Look at Saddam and how he ended up. We can't say anything bad about anyone else because we are the ones that are being aggressive in going over there and fighting everyone. Plus, there is propaganda within those countries, especially Northern Korea and Iran. The people in those countries will only hear what their president wants them to hear...kindof like over here :)

I do not think the opinions of non US folks are necessarily "obsessive".

America is a big money making machine, just like movie stars...Americans obsess about those all the time.
