I had a holiday to remember when I met this man who made me realise that there is only one God who has been sending the same message through the Torah, the Bible and the Quran and that message is that God is One who created the universe and man; that he endowed the thibngs in the universe with an irrefutable law [like water flowing towards a slope] and ghave man the choice to obwey him or disobey Him, That all books [excepting the Quran] were adulterated and they contain some word of God but inmajor part they are the words of human beings. The Quran was not adulterated because it was memorised in toto from the first day it started being revealed. That in obeying God we actually benefit ourselves. An example is abstaining from promiscuity but many men and women did not obey Him and now the same promiscuity has given a larghe section of population the AIDS that is troubling the world. Likewise wheter we we know or not all that hjas been forbidden is for our own good but if we do not abstain from it then only we shall suffer, not God. Another example is refraining fropm eatin pork. we do not obey God in doing so but do we know that the pig's blood houses about 70 different diseases and by eating pork we subject ourselves to these diseases? So pursuing opur wishes and pleasures may be very pleasureable for some time but if we do not partake of the plerasures of life wuithin the bounds set by God then we shall only hurt ourselves. The present day Muslims, the majority is no better off than th3 disbelievers because they follow Islam, which is the most scientific religion, in a very unscientific way.
