Because they think in simple, child-like extremes. Everything is black or white - right or wrong - people are good or bad. They are very comfortable with inequality and do not think that the poorest or most suffering among us are any of their concern.

Someone once told them they are "Republican" and they never really looked into it.

I think some younger Republicans think that it is a way to gain "success" or to imply that they are wealthy.

They aren't capable of critical thinking.

They don't have empathy.

GWB was born on third and thinks he hit a triple.

"Why do poor people who have trouble making ends meet vote Republican"

I will answer that, I struggle every day to make ends meet, I make about 40k a year and do my best to get by. Do I wish I had more sure but just because I want more doesn't give me the right to take it from someone else. I didn't make the best choices when growing up and I accept the consequences of my actions, sitting around and crying about it and taking from those who worked their butts off for what they have is wrong!

Interesting question. By making no point except to insult the opposition with out any foundation, and referring to them by a name such as evil. Then you are using what I would think you are considering the ultimate insult.

So actually you are lowering yourself to a level below the people you are trying to insult. Isn't calling people evil what got GW in trouble (AXIS of Evil)?

There seems to be some kind of conundrum here.

For the same reasons that the Democrats vote for men that are evil and greedy.

Take off your "rose colored glasses". There are just as many "evil and greedy" Democratic politicians...as there are Republicans. Sadly, we have devolved to the point where we see our "party" as totally good...and the opposition party as totally bad. Such is not reality, but it effectively explains the bitter partisanship that has come to characterize our political system.

The other option was to vote for evil greedy thieves called Democrats that want to redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor. Modern day Robin Hoods.

The same people that want to charge everything to the people with a higher tax bracket than they are in themselves!

Yes men like Abraham Lincoln, who ended slavery.

Teddy Roosevelt, who started the Food and drug administration, and started the National Park Service.

Dwight D Eisenhower who created the Interstate system.

These were truly evil vile men. We should spit on all of them. Especially that Lincoln guy.
