Try and keep It simple so you dont get in a state about luteal phases and cycle length. Just count 14 days from the FIRST day of your period and this is around when you ovulate. Have plenty of sex a 2-3days leading up to and after this time to cover late or early ovulation. Every other day is fine as sperm will live a while and sit waiting in your fallopian tubes for the egg. Be aware of a sharp pain in your side, a discharge like egg whites and feeling hotter then usual to get a better idea in future how close to day 14 you do ovulate. Please dont get obsessed and wound up by it though or you will end up in the same mess i am and not get anywhere! Good luck x

You ovulate 14 days BEFORE your next period. You take the number of days your cycle is long and take 14 away. (Eg a 30 days cycle less 14 = 16) This way you find out the approx day you ovulate on.
A lot of people believe ovulation occurs on day 14 of your cycle, this is because you hear so much info on the standard cycle length being 28 days long & ovulation occuring half way through. This is very misleading as a lot of women have much longer or shorter cycles & therefore ovulation is earlier or later depending. Therefore you need to work it out by the calculation above.
It is a standard time that ovulation occurs in all women 14 days before your NEXT period comes on. The first half of the cycle (From day 1 of your period to ovulation) is the time which varies between women, hence all having different length cycles.
If you do experience irregular cycles you can check position of cervix each day. It will be low & hard like touching the tip of your nose, on most days and then will be softer & harder to reach when you ovulate. Look for the changes in cervical mucus too, it will be like raw egg white & slimey when you ovulate. Your basal body temp will also rise or dip & then rise when you ovulate. you need to take it each morning at same time before getting out of bed to monitor change. These are all good ways of checking for ovulation if you cant rely on dates and numbers too!

Than you need to find out when you are ovulating. Typically women do not have a 28 day cycle. So you ovulate 12-14 days before your period begins. So you either need to chart your bbt or buy a fertility monitor. Personally I bought a fertility monitor and love it. The first month it gives you a lot of high fertile days but it does give you your peek day if you are ovulating. Any way the second month it is right on track. This month which was my second month using it it gave me 2 high days and 2 peek one being the day before I ovulated and the day of ovulation. Lets just pray I got pregnant! Hope this helps you!

save taking them 2x an afternoon such as you have been doing. I actually have a 12 day luteal section, so even nevertheless I actually have a 28 day era, I ovulate on day sixteen, no longer 14. sturdy success. *additionally, the only thank you to be attentive to for specific while you're ovulation is to take your temp each and each morning. Your temp rises an remains risen when you ovulate. ** i take advantage of the cyber web ones noted under me and that they have got worked fantastic for me

Good question. You should really check out this site:
http://www.babyzone.com
First of all, its FREE! And second, you can calculate your most fertile days just by looking at a calendar. And they ask you two simple questions to do the calendar. You need to know the first day of your last period, and how many days are in your normal cycle. (Ex: the 5th of January, and for 28 normal days).
I really hope this helped. I just found it also, and I think it's pretty accurate.
