"english should be mandatory in schools".........

1. By making english mandatory you are neglecting your own ancient languages like sanskrit in India which contains lots of hidden treasures.
2. You are forcing people to learn an alien language which consumes most of their active life.
3. The true culture of your region is not projected while you are reading english language and you are simply following the english culture and landing up with dating / late marriages / divorces / AIDS etc etc .
4. The secrets of our region are just getting buried and we are only importing english cultures / behaviour.
5. The tradition and the originality is getting lost.
6. Dating & divorce are getting increased
7. The melody of music is replaced by raps & rocks
8. Vices like drinking/ drugs / smoking are all english
9. Rapes / violence & scientific robberies are a result of english
10. overall an unsatisfactory life is derived by adopting english.

if you are doin a debate make sure that you know your audience, if you have a bunch of teenagers try to make it entertaining. English can be fun you just have to make it that way so think of things that you liked about english

If you are going into the specifics, than you could say how it interferes in people taking other languages due to mixing them up.

native language gets forgotten, which leads to lesser importance on traditions and cultures.
