No, it's not one and the same. Even if a door is a little bit open, it is not closed, therefore it is open. Also, from practical point of view, if a door is completely closed, it needs to be broken down in order to get inside, whereas if it is even slightly open, one just has to push it further to get inside. Will not get into the physics of force required, etc. - I don't think that's what you wanted.

No way!
Half open door can never be equal to half close door. Because as i read it, it defines the mental state of two observers and both have completely different meaning. I am sure i don't have to elaborate on the meanings as they are quite obvious.

It's just like asking whether a half filled glass=half empty glass. What the observer says depends on his being a pessimist or an optimist.

It is wrong! You can enter the room from the half open side, but not from the half closed side! Two sides of every picture!
