HI
I am 40 and I just feel like I am growing up the one thing about life that I have learned that is if you face up to responsibilities you grow up faster and it gives you more confidence. I spent most of my life avoiding them. Also the more you complete and actually finish in life helps you grow up too so always finish what you start.

People just mature at different rates. I'm 17 and I do all the house hold work, I take care of the pets, I have a job, I'm still in high school and I'm managing a relationship. It's just in your head that you don't want to grow up, you want to rely on others because you don't want the responsibility. Open your eyes and realize where you are, do you want to rely on your parents for everything? Get out and find a man ((with a job and his own place)). Get a pet or something. Get a job, and as for the college thing. I'm going to be in colllege until I'm like 25 for my career, that just depends on what you want to do, but if you dropped out, you need to hurry up and get back in to get your life on track.

IMO, the fact that you are asking this kind of question rather implies that you have grown up indeed, but are simply not satisfied with your current situation. Think about what you want to do with your life (for example in terms of career objectives) and think about how to get there, and just go for it. your case does not really look too bad - you are still young, and you still have a plenty of time to turn your life in the right direction, but, first of all, you have got to figure for yourself what is that right direction for you, and you have got to start doing something about it. Just stop going with the flow that (as I infer from your post) does not take you anywhere. Good Luck.

Finish college and get out of the house... not every one needs kids... they just aren't for some people..
it is very possible that you are just a late bloomer... you get that sometimes... just do you're best to finish college and be as independent as you can...
I strongly suggest getting out of your parents house... even if it's an apartment above their garage

Mia, you will finish college soon enough and move out, slow down, it is okay.
Maybe start making a plan, I will graduate, get a job, a place of my own and then you will find out where you are right now is not so bad....you will be pulling your hair out with a fist full of bills soon enough...

Hi Mia, maturity cannot be improvised or pretended,it is a natural process of aging and experience of life, however we can put behind us our childish ways and habits if we choose and by doing this we will reach a mature state of mind quicker.

Don't put a "time limit" on life. You'll get there when the time is right.
