I think it has something to do with the memories of "our generation" when we hear our old music. Also, as you get older, your mind can't take as many different stimuli as the new music incorporates. That's why driving becomes a problem as well. Just my thought anyway. (I'm not even that old)

because of the generation gap the tastes in music has changed so most adults don't like our kind of music but others are trying to adjust and fit in. when we grow up our kids will think our music is old fashioned it's all about development in every way
