To answer your specific question - 30 days. But to answer, perhaps, the implied question of why flags are still at half mast, I believe that, in today's times...flags should remain at half mast for all the young men and women who are giving their lives for their country.

It depends on the president at the time as he is responsible for the decree that lowers the flag. It is almost standard though that it is 30 days.
