I need to get into a low income housing for the handicap. im not the sharpest knife in the drawer .?

so i need some help or advice on this matter. what are the requirements who do i contact. can i do it on line or what??????????????

i use to live in housing,till i moved out about 4 yrs. ago.what you need to do is fill out a application and wait till they call you.they will call you when they get a opening,but you got to keep contacting them once in a while,to show them your still interested.at least thats the way it works here where i live in s.w.pa.

You need to contact social services in your local town. You will apply for section 8 housing, which will require financial statements and so on....you probably need to apply for disability social security benefits too! There is no way to do this online unfortunately, but going in to the local office and getting the help will really benefit you! Good luck!

Call your local Department of Social Services - they'll give you all the information you need :)

You can find the phone number/ local location in any phone book or online - enter the name of your state and "department of social services".

The federal Housing and Urban Development website would also be very helpful to you - http://www.hud.gov/groups/disabilities.cfm

Contact your HOUSING dept, they can mail you an application.....you will need to prove you're handicapped*, will have to show your finances....etc* then your name will go on a list* When something comes up they'll contact you to go view the place*
