I know that where i live we are fortunately blessed in that we don't have to listen to your governmental sales team ( News ) so we are able to see what is happening with our own eyes and ears.

Actions speak louder than words.
The Americans need to be told what to think.
All this corruption is happening around them and if the news tells them its ok then they become complacent and accpet it as such.
Its sad that one of the most looked up to countries ( past tense) has become a nation of followers and yes men.

Are you saying that there are only a handful of republicans or that only a handful of republicans support Bush?

It's probably the same that so many democrats think Bill Clinton was the greatest.

Because people who can't think for themselves believe what their leaders tell them. That is also why the democrats and republicans tend to attack each others leaders instead of trying to solve problems.

Kind of like the nonconstructive question you just asked.

Drink some more Kool-Aid the republican grape in the line to the right, democratic cherry in the line to the left.

Nobody has he is the greatest but you.He has been GREAT on defending our country against another terrorist attack, cutting our taxes, growing our economy after the clinton recession and 911.He also has been a strong leader, when we have so many weak kneed politicians who want to cut and run because of polls, not because of the truth on the ground,Bush has done what is right, not popular. The things I do not agree with him are:Illegal aliens, expanding medicare, not pushing hard enough for drilling in the USA,scrapping social security, doing away with government run schools. His biggest down fall is, trying to be friends with the democrats. The dems hate Pres.Bush more than the terrorist and the dems would destroy our country to bring Bush down

Tommy G
There were fewer who backed Churchill simply because there are fewer Brits than Yanks. Wat a srange point to make.
The sall handful of peole who think Bush is the greatest are his friends and family. I think to generalise all republicans and assume they are in Love with Dubya is a bit premature. I doubt if even the majority of Republicans would say he's the Greatest President they've ever had....I mean Lincoln was a republican. (Republican National Union)

I don't ever recall myself thinking or saying he was the greatest. I do recall myself disagreeing with a lot of his decisions. I just happen to agree with his assessment that defeat is not an option. That is what bothers the majority of you that just hate him. That we can disagree with some of his policies and still believe him to be right about others.

It is funny that when you say something about Clinton, the left will defend him like he never did any wrong, yet they accuse the right of being sheep!

I've never believed Bush was the greatest. He has a tough job and it seems like some people just live to bash him and republicans.

Some folks' egos are not developed enough to withstand the humiliation or ridicule of others, whether real or perceived. Due to this malformed ego, it is psychologically impossible for them to believe they could be lied to or conned in any way (being childishly assured of their own personal infallibility), so when confronted by facts which challenge their preconceived notions (or threaten their belief in their own infallibility), they revert to underdeveloped behavior, namecalling, lying about facts, changing the subject, etc.

To believe George Bush is as foolish, egomaniacal and narrowsighted as everyone else thinks, is to admit they were conned completely and utterly. This blow to an underdeveloped ego is potentially shattering and most people in this condition will do almost anything to maintain their illusions.
