When i was younger i had a big crush on this guy who trained at my gym. He wasn't interested in me as i was quite a bit younger than him.

I used to see him all the time then eventually i saw him as like an uncle figure, whom i cared about.

I forgot about the crush and i have been with my boyfriend for nearly a year now, and im very much in love with him. We are happy together and have a healthy relationship.

Recently this guy has come back on the scene and he gives me hugs, and openly tells people how beautiful i am. On tuesday, he wouldn't leave me alone chatting, and telling me im pretty and stuff.

I wasn't sure if he was flirting, as it didn't seem to have a sexual content, it was more affectionate.

I think about him more since this event, and im worried if this is normal as i used to have quite a big crush on him.

Please help!

Many thanks in advance.

x

He is aware i have a boyfriend and has been all along.

I hug all my friends whatever the gender, I am a friendly person, and this guy know's this so he wont be under a different impression.

It could be that this person was well aware that you fancied him, he felt flattered but did not want to get involved. Sooo, when you met your boyfriend and stopped showing interest in him , he felt a bit deflated, let down because he has been the main man all along. That could be why he is now hugging you and telling you that you are beautiful etc. To try and win back your admiration. Stick with your boyfriend and ignore the other guy.

Because you had a crush on him, any attention he pays you, especially telling you youre beautiful, is going to send you brain into overdrive. It sounds like you have a really good relationship with your boyfriend. You shouldnt risk all that just for this guy. Its unfair of him to say all that stuff to you especially as he knows how you used to feel about him and he knows that you are in a relationship.

If you have no interest in the man, then I suggest you stop the physical contact and inform him you are in a relationship. If you want to develop a relationship with the man, then I think you should inform your current boy friend of your desire to change the relationship. I wish you the best.

feelings are natural to us humans and very hard to resist... u said ur with ur bf.. i am sure if he feels the same towards any other girl u'll not feel the same for him from that moment onwards... so if at all any feelings arise in ur heart u'll have to supress it for the sake of ur boyfriend.....
it's quite natural for u 2 feel so bcoz u had a crush on him when u were young and he did not have the same kinda feelings for u coz u wer a kid...now that u have grown up...the opposite sex will have some kinda attraction... so decide what u want and mould ur feelings...

Hey, even an old "dog" like myself, enjoys getting his head patted every once in a while. He is giving you compliments, and you find them flattering...what's wrong with that? Enjoy them, just don't mess up "a good thing" with your boyfriend.

im sure you are just reminded my dear of your previous illusions about this guy. you had a boyfriend, it would be impolite to entertain somebody else. tell this guy to get on with his life and leave you alone. I think you are more happy with your present relationship. bonnée courage

Just act normal. Maybe he just want to be friends. If he wants to start a relationship, tell him you already have a boyfriend.

Stay calm. It is just your 'old wish' - nothing else. It is normal. But don't pay to much attantion on him-you don't need him now.
