It will delay the end of the US's presence in Iraq long enough that the Democrats will be if office and suffer the political consequences of what we have done to that country, and what will happen to them when we leave. He is passing all of the disastrous effects of his presidency onto future generations. Laughing all the way to the bank. Sick.

It seems that Moqtada al Sadr is less antagonistic since the plan was announced, and a major battle between terrorists and Iraqi forces (backed by the US) has resulted in major victory against a group planning a major terrorist attack.
Maybe the plan is already having an effect.

Why so much crap about the mess in Iraq. There are a few other things happening ajround the globe.
