Congrats on asking one of the questions of the day. I love reading through peoples answers, there is such a diverse selection.

Personally, i have thought about this for a while, but cannot seperate these three books.

So, in no particular order, the three best books i have ever read are:

The Holy Bible - The book of my faith
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Possibly the greatest story ever told
Easyway to give up smoking - Allan Carr - I was a slave to the weed for 30 years, and this book changed my life forever. No patches, no gums, no withdrawal symptons, no regrets

The best book is Sati. It covers all of the things the others have mentioned-religion, suspense, storyline, philosophical, sad, inspiring, enlightening and life changing. Its the only book in Amazon .com that has a huge number of reviews and everyone is 5 stars out of five.

A close call, probably all the dark tower series by steven king! Amazing and shows he can write!

But quite possibly the little prince drawn and written by Saint-Exupéry. Just an awsome book, only short and "childrens" but it's one of those that touches your life!
